The state of Michigan now has its third regional center: Lansing Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) Regional Center. It covers the City of Lansing and the following industries: Mixed Use Development, hospitality/tourism, manufacturing and warehousing, technology including information technology, biotechnology and hi-technology and higher education. It appears that the applicant is a public entity: the Lansing Economic Development Corporation.

New Mississippi Regional Center

Mississippi Gaming and Entertainment Regional Center is an interesting new addition to the USCIS list of approved regional centers, approved for the whole state of Mississippi and the industry of casino gaming and entertainment. The listed contact is a Virginia-based immigration lawyer.

Another CA Regional Center

Silicon Valley Venture Investment Regional Center appeared this week on the USCIS list of approved Regional Centers (4/21 update). It covers the central California counties of San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara and a wide range of industries: Light industrial/warehouse, Solar panel manufacturing, Solar Farming, General Offices, Retail Shopping Center, Nursing Homes, Hotels, Car wash (mobile), Biomedical research and/or manufacturing, Business incubators, and Generic software companies.

New California Regional Center

The USCIS list of approved regional centers is now updated as of 4/13, and one new Regional Center has been added: US Employment Development Lending Center, LLC, approved for the State of California and the following industry clusters: Construction, Professional Services, Other Services, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Information Services and Health Services. I am impressed that a Florida-based applicant involved in REO wholesale (John Shen of Dobty Group) was able to receive designation for the whole state of California and for industries as flexibly defined as “other services.” John Shen is also associated with International Project Consulting Group, which offers “one-stop marketing support” to Regional Centers.

Update: The contact info for this new regional center is changed as of the 4/21 USCIS list to one Leo Zhou based in Long Beach, CA.
