USCIS gives Chinese-language introduction to the EB-5 program
December 1, 2010 2 Comments
The official USCIS blog has posted an introduction of the EB-5 program. The most interesting aspect of this post is that it originated in an article in Chinese published as part of a “You Ask: USCIS Answers” series in The Epoch Times. I wonder if the translation choices in this article should be taken as standard (ie 区域中心 not 经济特区 for “regional center”). Regional Center promoters should find the article very useful as an official Chinese-language introduction to the EB-5 program.
In other news, USCIS updated its list of approved regional centers as of 12/01 and 12/08, but not with any new centers.
Hi Suzanne,
Thank you very much for this information! This introduction to the EB-5 program translated in Chinese would be very handy for my business. Unfortunately, I noticed that the Epoch Times article is formatted so that one cannot click on the text of the article (to copy, paste and cite). Do you know if there is another page where people can click on the text of the article? Or download a differently formatted version?
With gratitude,
Sean
Sean,
I did a search of the Epoch Times site and wasn’t able to find a digital text version of the USCIS article. However there are quite a few other articles on EB-5 that may also be useful to you. For example the visa type category has a number of entries related to EB-5: http://epochtimes.com/gb/nf3599.htm.
