IIUSA Recommended Best Practices

IIUSA has finally published its Recommended Best Practices for EB-5 Regional Centers! Designed to provide guidance to Regional Centers seeking to conduct business in a manner that will foster the growth and success of the EB-5 program, this list of best practices represents a year of hard work by a team of A-list players in the EB-5 field. The recommendations are practical and detailed, providing a voice of thoughtful experience on topics from RC oversight and project selection to conflicts of interest, securities issues, escrow, jobs issues, agents and marketing, investor relations, and more.

  1. JingHeng says:

Why in America do people write things like this that are guilty of bad practice in bad regional centers?

  2. Kate Sexton says:

Are you saying that the team that wrote this is guilty of bad practices? This should have been in place from the beginning. Another error by our government. Enforcement is the next hurdle. How will this be enforced?

    • These are best practice suggestions articulated by experienced members of the EB-5 community for the benefit and protection of the EB-5 community. They are not rules. Like private equity generally, EB-5 is subject to securities laws and also can self-organize/self-regulate by developing its own informal best practice recommendations such as these. I’m not sure what the previous commenter meant to say, but I have great respect for those that I know personally on the IIUSA best practices committee.
